Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator? We have an immediate opening for a skilled individual to join our dynamic warehouse team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. Your role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods, supporting receiving, put-away, and order fulfillment processes. We are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards, and this position requires a strong understanding of forklift operation and warehouse safety protocols. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of operating various types of forklifts.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and stock checks.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
