We are seeking a reliable and efficient individual to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth flow of inventory and supporting our shipping and receiving departments. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of warehouse safety, the ability to perform significant Lifting, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and productive work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to production or shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations according to procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Perform physical tasks, including regular Lifting of up to 70 lbs.
- Support shipping and receiving teams as needed to ensure timely order fulfillment and logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including consistent Lifting and maneuvering of materials.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the critical importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
