Job Summary:
We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our Boston, Massachusetts location. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of all outgoing shipments. This includes verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial in ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, and have a solid understanding of shipping procedures. Responsibilities:
  • Process all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify shipping details against customer orders.
  • Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
  • Generate shipping labels and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
  • Track shipments and provide updates as needed.
  • Operate shipping equipment, such as scales and label printers.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including the use of PPE.
  • Communicate with other departments to resolve any shipping-related issues.
  • Assist with receiving when necessary.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier websites.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
