We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. Your primary role will involve ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to all company safety protocols. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a busy and fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move pallets, cartons, and other materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with accuracy and care.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of goods moved.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and meet production targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime as needed.
