Join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio, as an Inventory Control Specialist! This role is fundamental to our logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and managing stock levels. A meticulous approach to detail and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems are essential for success. This position plays a critical part in optimizing warehouse efficiency and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. Your efforts will directly contribute to cost savings and enhanced customer satisfaction. We emphasize a culture of Safety and expect all employees to follow established protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory turns and accuracy metrics.
- Manage the return process and ensure returned goods are properly inspected and restocked.
- Operate warehouse equipment for inventory tasks, adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements and adjustments.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all Safety regulations.
- Assist with data analysis related to inventory performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory procedures.
- Familiarity with Safety procedures in a warehouse environment and the use of PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting.
