Our Huntsville, Alabama facility is looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, responsible for accurately documenting, inspecting, and organizing all deliveries. Your meticulous approach will ensure that our inventory is managed efficiently and accurately from the moment it arrives. This position is critical to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and supporting our overall distribution goals. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify delivery manifests against received goods.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for proper storage.
- Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with put-away tasks as needed.
- Wear and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Engage in regular safety briefings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform other physical tasks as required.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
