About
Our growing logistics company in Raleigh is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team. We need a professional who can efficiently and safely manage the movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. This role is essential for our daily operations, ensuring that goods are handled correctly, from receiving to dispatch. You will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange merchandise in a safe and organized manner.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Follow all guidelines for safe lifting and material handling.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere in our logistics operations.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with WMS is a plus.
- Must be committed to safety and wear required PPE.
- Excellent communication skills.
