Seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate for our facility in Sacramento, California. This role is vital for the successful operation of our logistics chain, ensuring that products are managed effectively from receipt to shipment. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in various warehouse functions, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload inbound shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Put away received inventory accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets efficiently.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging for carrier pickup.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the distribution center.
- Participate in regular inventory cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Strictly adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment and technology (e.g., scanners).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with general logistics concepts is a plus.
