Provo, Utah is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our expanding logistics team. This position is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and proficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory. Your ability to handle materials with precision and care, coupled with a strong commitment to Safety, will make you an invaluable asset. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to transport, stack, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the facility.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas, ensuring clear pathways and proper stacking.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock verification.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet operational goals in our logistics operations.
- Follow traffic guidelines and safety precautions within the warehouse environment.
- Perform other material handling tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting of items up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
