About
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy distribution center in Richmond, Virginia. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials and finished goods within our logistics hub. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and effectively operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and unstack palletized goods. Your adherence to Safety protocols and operational efficiency will be paramount. We are looking for experienced individuals who can contribute to a productive and secure work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and safely.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and other goods to and from designated areas.
- Stack and unstack palletized materials as required.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and work areas are clear.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Follow all traffic rules and safety precautions within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to the efficient flow of goods within our logistics network.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
