Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient execution of receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and accident prevention.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates, fostering skill development.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, implementing control measures.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics.
- Identify and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities and performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability in leadership, team management, and motivation.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficiency in inventory control and cycle counting procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential nights and weekends.
