We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our dedicated team in Kansas City, Missouri. This critical leadership role involves overseeing all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics, and a proven ability to drive efficiency and productivity while maintaining a safe work environment. You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, ensuring adherence to company policies, and contributing to the overall success of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse associates, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE, to ensure a safe workplace.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, implementing strategies for improvement.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage the scheduling and allocation of staff to meet operational demands.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment and shipment of orders.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques. Experience with safety regulations and implementing safety programs. Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring all team members use PPE correctly. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
