We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is critical for the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within the warehouse. This position requires a skilled operator with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move products. Accuracy in inventory management and careful handling of goods are key. The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavier items, is expected. A keen eye for detail and adherence to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) and other powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and merchandise.
- Move products and materials from receiving to storage or to shipping areas.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification is required. Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
