Join our dynamic team in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Receiving Clerk. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of goods into our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, accurately verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. This position requires a sharp eye for detail and strong organizational skills to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient workflow. You will be the first line of defense in quality control for incoming materials, contributing significantly to our overall Logistics chain. Maintaining a safe and orderly receiving area is a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory shipments.
- Verify quantities and condition of goods against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Record all received items, noting any damages or discrepancies.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area to ensure efficient workflow.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety protocols and mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with the return process for damaged or incorrect goods.
- Support other warehouse operations to facilitate effective Logistics .
Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is strongly preferred. Must be physically capable of performing tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and be active throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Basic computer proficiency for data entry. A commitment to workplace Safety and proper utilization of PPE . Good communication and teamwork abilities.
