Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE at all times.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment as directed.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to meet operational goals.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated understanding of forklift operation, safety best practices, and warehouse logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform other physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Willingness to consistently wear required PPE.
