This position involves a variety of tasks, from unloading incoming shipments to stocking shelves and preparing orders for delivery. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Sort, scan, and store merchandise accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
- Utilize scanning technology to track inventory movement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
