About
We are hiring an energetic Picker/Packer to join our growing logistics center in Columbus, Ohio. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting products from inventory and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. Precision, speed, and a keen eye for detail are essential qualities for success. You will work closely with other warehouse team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment. Adherence to all Safety regulations and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount to maintaining a secure work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Read order tickets or use scanning devices to locate and pick specified items.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect items for damage or defects prior to packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding areas.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.
- Participate in inventory control activities and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
Experience in a picking and packing role or a general warehouse environment is preferred. Must be able to handle regular Lifting of items weighing up to 40 pounds. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work at a steady pace. Strong teamwork and communication skills are beneficial. A strong commitment to workplace Safety is essential. Must be at least 18 years old. This role requires standing, walking, and manual dexterity for the duration of the shift. Join our Columbus team and help us deliver excellence!
