We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing process improvements, and working closely with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with inventory management software and a solid understanding of warehouse operations are essential. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Identify and report on trends in inventory accuracy.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Monitor stock levels and report potential shortages or overages.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the training of new inventory control staff.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
- Be prepared for tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS and other inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of Safety protocols is required.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving physical exertion, including occasional Lifting.
