You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, transporting them to designated areas, and ensuring materials are properly stored and organized. The Material Handler plays a crucial role in maintaining a smooth workflow and supporting production and shipping operations. This role involves significant physical exertion, including frequent lifting and maneuvering of materials. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Stack and arrange materials in an organized manner.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient material flow.
- Follow all instructions for the correct use of PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a material handler, forklift operator, or in a warehouse role.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs) and moving materials.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE .
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good communication skills.
