We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. This role is critical to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating forklifts safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from designated areas, and performing routine checks on the forklift equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. A commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and using the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within our expanding logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage or production areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and documentation.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including order picking and packing.
- Ensure proper Lifting techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in logistics and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational efficiency and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and wearing required PPE.
