Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist for our busy Chicago, Illinois warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies to ensure the integrity of our stock. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS). You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock rotation. Key duties include performing regular cycle counts, reconciling inventory records, identifying root causes of discrepancies, and recommending process improvements. You will also assist in organizing warehouse layouts to improve efficiency and accessibility of stock. A commitment to Safety is non-negotiable; you will ensure all activities comply with our safety standards and use the required PPE , such as safety vests and eye protection. While this role is less physically demanding than some warehouse positions, it still requires the ability to perform moderate Lifting of items up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods. Experience with data analysis and reporting is a significant advantage. This is a key position within our Logistics operations, requiring analytical skills and a systematic approach.
