About
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping various goods. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. A strong commitment to safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in maintaining the flow of goods through our supply chain, ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to contribute to a positive and productive work atmosphere. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse upkeep and organization.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
