Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Indianapolis, Indiana! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to manage the flow of goods into and out of our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and preparing items for shipment. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining a well-organized workspace. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our supply chain and the timely delivery of products. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify packing slips and purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
- Stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including order picking, packing, and labeling.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety standards.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipments and inventory levels.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning safety and PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics principles.
