About
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator for our facility in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to Safety standards. Your responsibilities will include coordinating staff activities, managing inventory levels, optimizing workflow, and maintaining optimal warehouse organization. You will be instrumental in streamlining our logistics processes and ensuring timely dispatch of goods. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse management principles. You will also be responsible for enforcing safety regulations and ensuring all team members are properly trained and equipped with the necessary PPE. This is a key role within our operations, contributing directly to our supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff and activities.
- Manage inventory control and ensure accurate stock levels.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Manage shipping and receiving schedules to meet deadlines.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and Safety best practices.
- Utilize knowledge of logistics to improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to Lifting guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar supervisory role.
- In-depth understanding of warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic warehouse environment, involving regular Lifting and physical activity.
- Must ensure all personnel are using appropriate PPE.
