Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming inventory, as well as picking, packing, and preparing outgoing shipments. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be operating material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification opportunities available), to transport materials throughout the warehouse. Accurate record-keeping and maintaining a clean and organized workspace are also key aspects of this role. We value teamwork and encourage our employees to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Receive, identify, and store incoming materials accurately.
  • Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to specifications.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in cycle counting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all established safety regulations and utilize required PPE at all times.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
  • Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to workplace Safety.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
