About
We are looking for a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our St. Louis, Missouri team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Accuracy, efficiency, and above all, Safety are paramount in this position. You will ensure that materials are transported correctly and stored appropriately, contributing directly to the smooth flow of our logistics operations. We are committed to providing a secure working environment, and you will play a key role in maintaining that through diligent operation of equipment and adherence to all safety regulations. This role involves significant physical activity, including regular Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and locating items.
- Follow all Safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as order picking or packing.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to Safety and adherence to traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
