About
Join our team in Columbus, Ohio, as an Inventory Control Specialist and play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing inventory levels. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to minimize errors. Your duties will include using our inventory management system, tracking stock movements, and ensuring that all inventory-related data is accurate and up-to-date. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is highly desirable. This role involves some walking and standing for extended periods, as well as occasional Lifting of items up to 30 lbs. Adherence to all Safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE , is non-negotiable. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow and support the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Track stock movements and ensure proper put-away and replenishment.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Implement process improvements to enhance inventory control.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE .
- Process stock adjustments and transfers accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the correct use of PPE .
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of Logistics principles.
