We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our bustling warehouse operations in Orlando, Florida. This role is critical for the efficient movement of materials, ensuring that goods are handled safely and promptly. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload inventory within our facility. Safety is paramount in this position, and you must demonstrate a strong understanding of forklift operation best practices and adhere to all safety regulations. This is a key position within our logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and securely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize inventory in racking systems or storage areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Support the overall logistics and operational goals of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proven ability to handle materials safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vest.
