We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is crucial to our overall logistics operations, ensuring that our products are handled efficiently and effectively from receipt to shipment. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth functioning of our warehouse. This includes receiving incoming goods, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for dispatch. You will work in a fast-paced environment and must be comfortable with physical labor.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify against purchase orders.
- Stock shelves and storage areas with incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using pick lists or scanning equipment.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Assist with inventory counts and checks.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures in a warehouse setting is essential.
