About
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our Sacramento, California warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and experience with various types of forklifts are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and warehouse storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate inventory records by correctly placing and identifying materials.
- Participate in stock counts and inventory audits.
- Follow safe Lifting practices and assist with moving items manually when required.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution processes.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory flow.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with different types of warehouse equipment is a plus.
