Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and minimize damage. You will be expected to operate various warehouse equipment, maintain a clean and organized work area, and collaborate effectively with other team members. Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling environment is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
  • Accurately stock materials in designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
  • Pick and pack orders based on customer requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
