About
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, California. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of materials within our warehouse. Your primary focus will be ensuring that inventory is accurately managed and readily available for production and shipping needs. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will operate various material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), to transport goods. Adherence to all PPE requirements is mandatory to maintain a secure work environment. Tasks include receiving incoming shipments, inspecting goods for damage, stocking shelves, picking items for orders, and preparing materials for dispatch. Strong lifting capabilities are essential, as you will be regularly handling items weighing up to 50 pounds. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is also a key responsibility. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and verify against purchase orders.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Pick, pack, and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory status and operational needs.
- Support other warehouse functions as directed to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred. Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus. Must be able to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. A commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE . Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Understanding of logistics principles is beneficial.
