Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that all stock levels are precisely recorded and managed. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future errors. Your keen eye for detail will help optimize stock rotation and minimize waste. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to upholding high standards of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles and experience with warehouse management systems (WMS). You'll collaborate closely with receiving, shipping, and operational staff to ensure seamless inventory flow. This role involves regular interaction with various departments, requiring excellent communication and teamwork skills. We are looking for someone who can contribute to improving our inventory processes and overall efficiency. The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively is essential for success in this role. Ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety regulations is paramount. A background in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Identify and report damaged or obsolete stock.
  • Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management.
  • Assist with training new team members on inventory procedures.
  • Lifting of boxes and materials may be required, up to 50 lbs.
