About
We are looking for a dependable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. This role is essential for the efficient and safe flow of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing products for distribution, playing a key part in our operational success and upholding high standards of Safety .
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and sort incoming goods.
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks to move materials.
- Load and unload inventory from trucks and containers.
- Transport items to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and verifying stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times, including safety shoes and gloves.
- Perform tasks requiring consistent physical effort, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Follow all established procedures and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet deadlines.
- Report any damages or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus.
