About
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your contributions will be essential to our operational efficiency and overall logistics chain. This is a physically demanding position that requires stamina and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and sort incoming materials.
- Operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to designated staging areas or storage locations.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and verifying stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
- Regularly engage in tasks involving Lifting , carrying, and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Report any discrepancies or damages promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
- Ability to operate basic material handling equipment.
- Strong physical ability to perform frequent lifting and manual labor.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
