Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler in Virginia Beach, Virginia! This role is integral to the efficient operation of our distribution center. You will be responsible for moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and preparing items for shipment. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. This position demands physical fitness, including the ability to perform frequent Lifting and operate various material handling equipment (training provided). A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety , and all employees must adhere to established protocols and wear the required PPE at all times. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Wear all required PPE , such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Support the overall efficiency of the Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical effort, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Must be willing and able to wear required PPE .
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with general Logistics operations.
