We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our San Diego, California warehouse team. This position is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout our facility, supporting our overall **Logistics** operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and managing inventory, as well as operating various types of material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from production, packing, and shipping areas.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and **Safety**.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored according to **Logistics** and company standards.
- Adhere strictly to all **Safety** regulations and **PPE** requirements.
- Proper **Lifting** techniques must be employed at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operating certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of warehouse **Logistics** and inventory management.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including **Lifting** up to 75 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent knowledge of **Safety** procedures and **PPE**.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
