We are hiring a meticulous Shipping Clerk for our Seattle, Washington facility. The Shipping Clerk will be instrumental in managing the outbound flow of products, ensuring all shipments are accurately documented, packed, and dispatched according to schedule. This role is perfect for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. You will be the final checkpoint before goods leave our facility, playing a vital role in customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing packages.
- Verify package contents against shipping orders for accuracy.
- Package products securely and appropriately for transit.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional heavy Lifting, up to 45 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with logistics and shipping procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of workplace Safety guidelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
