Seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that customers receive their products accurately and on time. You will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, accurately picking them, and preparing them for shipment. This requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace and expect all employees to adhere to our strict safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your accuracy and speed directly impact customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack items securely using appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate hand-held scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow all safety procedures.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including wearing required PPE.
- Meet or exceed established picking and packing productivity goals.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the warehouse logistics.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a picking or packing role is a plus. Ability to read and understand order tickets and product codes. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting items up to 40 lbs, and standing for extended periods. A strong understanding of workplace safety and the importance of PPE. Detail-oriented and accurate. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Good organizational skills. Reliability and punctuality are essential.
