We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our busy logistics team in Tampa, Florida. This role is vital for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and meet all shipping requirements. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring timely dispatch of goods. If you have excellent organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy, this is an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation.
- Verify outgoing shipments against order details.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and secured for transit.
- Operate shipping software and systems accurately.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with Loading and unloading shipments, which may involve Lifting.
- Support the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
Proficiency in shipping software and order management systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of shipping regulations and carrier requirements.
Must be able to perform moderate Lifting.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
