We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Moving materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Stocking shelves and organizing warehouse inventory.
- Picking and packing orders according to specific requirements.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assisting with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Performing general warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks, up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
