About
We are looking for enthusiastic Material Handlers to join our growing **logistics** team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our distribution center, focusing on the movement and organization of materials. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, ensuring accurate handling of goods, and maintaining a **safe** working environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other manual material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Stage materials for order fulfillment or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with **safety** standards.
- Adhere strictly to all **safety** regulations and company policies.
- Wear all required **PPE**, including **safety** shoes, vests, and gloves.
- Assist with inventory counts and basic record-keeping.
- Support the overall **logistics** operations of the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or **logistics** environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including **lifting** up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse **safety** best practices and the importance of **PPE**.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
