Seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Detroit, Michigan. This critical role involves operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move pallets, materials, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklift equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and location.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of heavy items, assisting with manual moves when necessary.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and accident prevention.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing, walking, and occasional manual lifting.
