We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all tasks. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
- Stock materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management and rotation.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring secure and safe transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety concerns immediately to supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
