About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods using manual and powered equipment, and ensuring accurate inventory counts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect equipment for defects and report any issues immediately to maintain operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to Safety protocols.
- Operate various types of warehouse equipment, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency and reducing trip hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production and shipping goals within the Logistics framework.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management, contributing to the overall success of the operation.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Must be capable of Lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of all required PPE . Understanding of basic Logistics principles is beneficial. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods. This role is vital to our supply chain operations and requires a reliable and dedicated individual.
