Are you a skilled tradesperson looking for a new challenge? Our Austin, Texas distribution center is seeking a Warehouse Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse equipment and facility. Your technical expertise will be vital to our logistics infrastructure, ensuring everything runs smoothly and reliably.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and palletizing machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating within safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Conduct safety audits of the warehouse environment to identify potential hazards.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including the correct use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with preventative maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various positions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
