About
We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Madison, Wisconsin. This position is critical for the efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and safety-conscious operator with a proven track record of operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials, and stocking inventory. A strong emphasis on Safety , including the correct operation of equipment and the mandatory use of PPE , is paramount. Key Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Loading and unloading freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transporting materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Storing materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper stacking and stability.
- Performing pre-operation inspections of forklifts and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Assisting with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Following all company Safety regulations and procedures.
- Working collaboratively with other warehouse staff.
- Safely handling hazardous materials if required, following all guidelines.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification or license. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting when not operating machinery. Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control. Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all PPE requirements. Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. This is a key role in our Logistics department, offering stability and growth potential.
