We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Seattle, Washington. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all merchandise. Your meticulous attention to detail ensures that inventory levels are correct and that goods are prepared for distribution. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics processes and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized receiving area. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and expect strict adherence to all Safety protocols. The role involves physical activity, including regular Lifting, standing, and walking. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming items for damage or discrepancies.
- Record received inventory accurately in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label inventory appropriately for storage or further processing.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock and work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in warehouse receiving or inventory control is preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and data entry.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and product labels.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
