We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of materials within our warehouse, from receiving to shipping. This position requires a high level of skill, precision, and a strong commitment to safety regulations. You will be expected to perform daily equipment checks and maintain a clean and organized work environment. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Your expertise will directly impact our operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack merchandise to and from storage areas, production areas, and loading docks.
- Perform regular pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any defects.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear aisles and safety compliance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and safety awareness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs) when necessary.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
