Seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse operations in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that materials are received accurately, inspected for damage, and processed into our inventory system efficiently. You will be responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, documenting discrepancies, and coordinating with suppliers and internal logistics teams. This position requires a meticulous individual with a strong commitment to accuracy and safety. Your accurate handling of incoming goods is fundamental to the integrity of our entire supply chain and the success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from trucks and other carriers.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect all incoming materials for damage and report any issues promptly.
- Accurately document all received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Segregate and stage incoming goods for put-away or further processing.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, logistics personnel, and other departments regarding incoming shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (if certified).
- Assist with inventory checks and stocktaking as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role. Familiarity with receiving processes and documentation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs. Basic understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS). Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE is essential. This role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. Excellent communication skills are beneficial.
